Hi, my name is Ian Kirk, and I have dedicated many years of my life to freestyle snowboarding and coaching athletes at the highest level. Throughout my career, I have worked in Colorado, USA, where I was part of one of the best environments for freestyle snowboard development, helping riders progress from junior levels all the way to the professional scene.
I am the founder and head coach of Kirk's Camp, a program created to help riders develop their technical skills, creativity, and overall approach to snowboarding. My goal has never been focused solely on results, but primarily on the long-term development of athletes and building the right mindset.
During my career, I have had the opportunity to work alongside coaching personalities such as Bud Keene, as well as with many talented riders from around the world.
One of my most significant experiences was working as a coach for the Chinese National Snowboard Team, where I was involved in developing the freestyle program and preparing athletes for the highest level of international competition.
I have also worked with riders and programs within the Hungarian National Snowboard Team, helping athletes develop their potential through modern training methods and an individual approach.
My coaching system has always combined several key elements — technical progression, video analysis, physical preparation, the mental side of sport, and an individual approach for every rider.
For me, snowboarding has never been only about tricks or medals. It has always been about progression, creativity, and creating an environment where riders can push their limits and become the best version of themselves.
