Progress Skateboard Camp Midder: Five Days Full of Skateboarding and Progress

The five-day Progress Skateboard Camp Midder brought plenty of skateboarding, training, new tricks, and significant progress. During the camp, the participants visited skateparks in Prešov, Poprad, Martin, Pribylina, and Dolný Kubín. The program also included an active rest day in the Liptov region.

This was a record-breaking camp in terms of both the number of participants and coaches. The riders were divided into groups according to their skill level, and throughout the camp they worked on individual progression – from basic techniques to more advanced tricks on rails, boxes, and ramps.

As part of the Progress Skateboard Camp Starter, we spent five days skateboarding, progressing, learning new tricks, overcoming challenges, and enjoying plenty of great moments together. The camp brought together riders of different ages and skill levels – from complete beginners to experienced skateboarders. This created a great atmosphere where everyone motivated and pushed each other forward.

From the very first day, we focused mainly on finding out each rider’s current level and identifying what we would work on during the camp. We adapted the training individually according to each rider’s abilities and goals.

Progress Skateboard Camp Midder – Unbelievable Energy!

Sunday was, as every year, dedicated to introductions and getting to know each other – both the team and the camp participants. This year, however, was special because we welcomed guests from the USA – American coach Ian Kirk and his riders Finn and Stefan. From the very first meeting, it was clear that this crew would bring something new – fresh energy and inspiration for everyone.

Monday was all about finding the right spot to skate. In Liptovský Mikuláš, the classic Monday park was waiting for us, but the morning brought rain that covered 90% of Slovakia. We needed a backup plan – the choice fell on the Košice skatepark under the bridge, a new project by Tlakbeton. Progress Skateboard Camp Liptov 2024 - STARTER

Summer 2024 kicked off successfully with our first skateboarding camp, known annually as the Progress Skateboard Camp STARTER. The camp once again took place in the Liptov region, where we are close to popular top Slovak parks such as Liptovský Mikuláš, Poprad, Martin, and this year we also added a smaller newly established park in Pribylina. Regarding this year's camp, we can confidently say that we achieved several milestones: the most girls - a total of 5, the most camp participants - a total of 17, the most instructors - a total of 5, the oldest participant - 30 years old, and the youngest participant - 6 years old. Progress Skateboard Camp Liptov 2023 - FINISHER

The beginning of the school year marks the end of the summer holidays, along with the end of the summer skateboard camps that we organized this summer, not just one but a total of two!

The last Skateboard Progress Camp, which carried the name Finisher, exceeded all our expectations. One of the reasons was the large number of female participants, which enriched the overall atmosphere of the camp, and we are delighted about it. We hope to see more girls on skateboards in the future.

The second main reason was a foreign visitor all the way from America, none other than American coach Ian Kirk, who has been involved in coaching and organizing camps worldwide for over 20 years.
